Retreat with Stitch Saint John!

If you're curious about what our Fall Retreat will look like, let me share the details!

Step away from the everyday and immerse yourself in a cozy, creative getaway designed just for sewing and quilting enthusiasts. Whether you're a seasoned quilter or just starting to explore the joy of stitching, this retreat offers a relaxing space to learn, create, and connect with fellow makers. Enjoy uninterrupted sewing time, inspiring workshops, and plenty of laughter, all surrounded by beautiful scenery and a supportive community. Pack your machine, your favourite fabrics, and your passion—this is your time to stitch, share, and recharge.

Spend the day sewing with us at the Brundage Point River Centre in Grand Bay-Westfield which is surrounded by the Saint John River on three sides. Find ample green space for some fresh air, lunch and free high speed wireless internet and free parking.

Retreat:

Saturday, October 18th, 2025

9am to 8pm

Cost: $50 +tax, registration on www.stitchsj.ca

Mark your calendars: registration will open Saturday, June 28th 12pm.

Meals are not included in the registration fee, but catering of our Morning Break and Lunch will be offered at a later date. Details will be sent to registered participants.

Limited registration is 20 with a wait list in case of cancellations.The registration fee is non-refundable, but if cancellation is requested on or before October 11th, 2025, we will refund, if the spot is filled from the Wait List.

Please note: rental fees were paid in full at time of booking the venue for the retreat.

What is included in the registration fee;

• 11hours of sewing time and space!

• treat bag of goodies

• handmade lanyard for your name tag

• coffee, tea, water

• And a door prize for everyone!

Stitch SJ will have a Pop-Up Shop on location, stocked with curated  notions, fabric bundles and kits. Start a tab and pay at the end of the retreat day.

What to bring:

• sewing machine, foot control and plug

• project(s) It is encouraged for you to prep your project ahead of time.

• thread, sewing tools, notions

• sunglasses, sweater

• water bottle and reusable coffee/tea mug

• treat to share for our Snack Bar: crackers, chips, fruit, candy, nuts

Cans of pop will be available for purchase.

Schedule:

9:00am: Arrive, Check In, Set Up your sewing station

9:30am: Welcome & Introductions

10:30am Break: fruit and pastries

1:30pm Catered Lunch (details to follow)

7:30pm Sew & Tell (Share what you created!)

8:00pm Goodbye until next Retreat!

Optional Make & Take Projects:

Option 1: Pop- Up Pouch

Feel free to join us and create a sweet Pop Up Pouch! Margo will lead the participants in creating a fun little Pop-Up Pouch,which is perfect to add to your sewing table to catch threads and small snips! Kits will be available for $5. You can even purchase an extra kit to take home! Pre-order on our Stitch Shop and you can choose your print/colour at the retreat.

Option 2: Shellie Pouch

We will also be offering this sweet Shellie Pouch as the second Make & Take Activity! If you are interested, Margo will lead you step by step to create this sweet pouch! Perfect to gift or keep for yourself! Kits will be available for $10 and you can pre-order on our online Stitch Shop.
